hmm

Wayyy too cluttered, like someone else said. Levels on some things are way too loud and duck everything else out like crazy (such as lead that comes in at 1:50). Do something to introduce different synths in, instead of throwing them in without any sort of introduction. You said you fixed the distortion, but there is still clearly distortion during some parts. Balance out the levels on everything, and most importantly EQ your synths so its not like everything is trying to be the loudest. You said in one of your review responses that you can't edit patches in z3ta+, but that is completely false. z3ta+ is about as flexible as anything.

The beat is the standard run of the mill 4 to the floor, and the chord progression is rather generic. The filter outro was weak - too abrupt.

DJ-Babokon responds:

Okay, I'll take that into consideration.

Well gat damn son.. You just made a really awesome, really gritty, really heavy tune.
It's like someone trying to escape from some run-down insane asylum, but they can't find their way out :*(. I love the spooky piano along with those laser-chain-saw sounding squeals. Also those bpm increases / drops were sexy... reminds me of Spor + Ewun + Evol Intent's track Levitate (the bpm changes)..

man that's a lot of people to work on one song.

Quarl responds:

Hey thanks awake. That means a lot to me. Those are some of my favorite dnb artists :)

edit: for some reason it's normal in the dnb community for like six different people to be credited for one song...

great!

Really good ambient IDM tune you got here bro. Really relaxing, very deep. My only complaint is the mastering is kind of muddy / dampened sounding. A more clean mix would be awesome.

DjRocALot responds:

Sometime close by dude!

The person below me hit the nail on the head. STRAIGHT OUTTA BOMBERMAN HERO RIGHT HERE.

putzpie responds:

ohsnap, you really think so man? Well that just feels awesome really. Thanks man, and thanks again guy below this one. I love Bomberman Hero music to death.

yar

Pretty professional. Nice surprise to see a decent song make the top 5. None of the other top 5 songs are as professional, or even any decent, but that's pretty typical... so again, it's nice to see something atypical :D.

Proper hardstyle progression, ripping synths, sweet kicks, and overall a nice melodic hardstyle tune. Mastering is A+.

keep it fresh brah :)

ephixa responds:

Thanks, Newgrounds audio portal is SO neglected by the people who run it. I'm amazed at the things that are in top of all time. I'm not saying I should be up there I'm just saying it's a kick in the nuts when bad stuff is there.

yes

Sensational and lovely melodies, typical for you :). This is great dude, but there's a few things that once you work on, the record labels will be all over you. Your build ups are incredible. Nothing short of fantastic and masterful, however the refrains in your songs are kind of disappointing. I expect them to be hard hitting and even more emotional than the build ups, but they are weak. At 1:50, the hat sounds like it's like 32kbps quality or something, i dunno.. at 3:57, the clap is really weak and doesn't blend well with the kick. Just improve your use of percussion and after the build ups, rip the bass, perc, synths, everything really. If you played this at a rave, people would fall in love with the build up, but after that it's kind of a let down. It needs to powerful enough so people are stoked as fuck after that build up and they start jumping their fuckin asses off! Seriously I can imagine this bringing people to their knees at a rave. Corny I know but just work on those things dude. You are a prodigy with building atmosphere. Mastering could also use a wee bit of work along with less use of nexus presets, but these things come naturally in time.

TranceCrafter responds:

thanks for the tips, I'll be sure to work on improving the areas you pointed out.

lol, I don't use nexus. In fact, I hate nexus cause you can't create your own presets for it. I use sylenth1, and make pretty much all my presets from scratch. I suppose it just sounds a lot like nexus cause of the type of lead I use in a lot of my stuff.

do you have an msn? I'd love to chat with you about music.

yaey

lol at the vocal 303 at 1:30

nice job

Stalagmite responds:

hehe, thanks mate! ^ ^ really appreciate you leaving a comment and listening! cheers !!!

yes

sounds like it's gonna be a bangin ass tune. i like the transition from the gritty reese into that monster of a sub bass. also that guy that gave you a 6 also gave one of dj-nate's songs from several years ago a 10. someone people shouldn't be critics :\

AlexCo responds:

Cheers for the review man, some people review on their taste, not the track, so yeah... twat.
