Great

Very nice! Shame about the volume, though. It is way too low. Also it's only coming out of one speaker :\

CheckMark responds:

Hmm I don't seem to be having that problem with the speakers. But yes I do agree on the volume, I'll go back and adjust the master volume, and edit the submission. I just had an affair of importance I had to deal with today, recorded and submited in a hurry. Thank you for the review and helpful input.

Urban, mellow, deep. Dig the drum compression. Adds to the ol skool feel. Keep it up

DJDureagon responds:

Yep im old school as hell. I worked hard on these drums as i always do. Thansk for the review.

Awesome

Thanks for remixing my song haha.. That doesn't happen very often, lol. Interesting to see this house-ified :D. Pretty good mastering, kick is nice. Keep it up man :)

DJ-Qwamii responds:

You're welcome! LOL. I'm the one who should be thanking you for creating such an awesome song! :b

FRESH

This is great. Kinda has a SNES feel to it, which is why I'm diggin this so much. Awesome fills, great drums, overall sick stuff. I want the full version!!11

Skela responds:

Full version will most likely be licenced, and later released on my album.

nice

You sure were pretty adept at the FL studio back in 2006. I think this a testament to how skilled at producing you are. Despite the out of the box FL samples, this is still very good. Good ol' reversed piano samples have a strong emotional effect for some reason.. on me at least. The drums are kind of meh.. but we're talking 4 years ago here, so yeah. No point in criticism here. I just wanna say that this song captures great atmosphere; almost mystically. oh laud.. if you threw out that drum part and added a chorus or some sort of chord progression to the piano, (and perhaps updated the song in its entirety to reflect your current skill) then this piece would be.. awsum..

LLAAPPSSEE responds:

Thanks for listening Rawr,

Yeah man, It'd be fun to go back and revamp this - throw out some of the stock FL tools I was using. I, surprisingly, still have most of the work files for this. It'd be a fun experiment, if anything. I guess it'll stay in it's sketch format for now. Thanks for checking it out, though.

(I'm a sucker for the backwards myself)

yeaaaa

WOW. That is true VG Metal. It's like SSH vs. Touhou Music. Very crisp guitars, but the bass may be a little too trebley. Also, the single snare sample is a bit repetitive, but it's characteristic of vg metal, so, yeah. That ones up in the air. Melodies are awesome and fit a boss theme well. Overall, great job, man!

rtnario responds:

Except SSH is way more professional at this than I am right now...XD Yep, I always make them crisp that way, and I guess I like to hear the high end of the bass as well as the low end. ^^; For this song, I guess I should've multisampled the snare but it's too late for that now, and again as you said it's VG metal! Thanks for the detailed review!

yeaaahhh

Love when the breaks hit. This is right up my alley, man. Ambient / IDM / Post-rock goodness. Reminds me of The Flashbulb's newer material. Breaks were pretty creative, and I loved the fills. I love this a lot dude, more than you might think :). This is the exact, down to the point, style of music that I love listening to most. Good for those rainy days when you're on the front porch contemplating the future. -1 cause it's not the full :(

You wouldn't happen to know what Stepmania is? Or what KBMP is? If you don't, then disregard this part :P

landscapers1 responds:

The Flashbulb is my IDM idol, everything.

Stepmania? Hm.. DDR? lol thankyou 4 da revieWwW
