YEAAH

Well, I'll tell you right now son.. with this rating you're probably gonna get top 5 this week. So uh, grats for that n***a! Anyways I was planning to go to bed until I heard this shiet.. So basically I'll leave it at this because I'm tired -- this is epic as hell.

Nice

Great job man. I dig this! I really really like the pads. Perhaps add something to better introduce the breaks at :28.. maybe some reversed piano chords and a drum fill would bring it in better.

yeaaaaaaaaaa

looking forward to the full mang

Love when the breaks hit. This is right up my alley, man. Ambient / IDM / Post-rock goodness. Reminds me of The Flashbulb's newer material. Breaks were pretty creative, and I loved the fills. I love this a lot dude, more than you might think :). This is the exact, down to the point, style of music that I love listening to most. Good for those rainy days when you're on the front porch contemplating the future. -1 cause it's not the full :(

You wouldn't happen to know what Stepmania is? Or what KBMP is? If you don't, then disregard this part :P

The Flashbulb is my IDM idol, everything.

Stepmania? Hm.. DDR? lol thankyou 4 da revieWwW

yaa

A little better mastering would help to make the piano sound more full. Other than that, this is a very thoughtful, and very smooth piano piece. Not too fancy, and a progression anyone could appreciate, it's a pretty good track. Nice job mang.

Besides xKore's tune, this was the only track on the top 5 that wasn't total trash. But then again... that's typical for newgrounds automated top 5 system.

hmm

Wayyy too cluttered, like someone else said. Levels on some things are way too loud and duck everything else out like crazy (such as lead that comes in at 1:50). Do something to introduce different synths in, instead of throwing them in without any sort of introduction. You said you fixed the distortion, but there is still clearly distortion during some parts. Balance out the levels on everything, and most importantly EQ your synths so its not like everything is trying to be the loudest. You said in one of your review responses that you can't edit patches in z3ta+, but that is completely false. z3ta+ is about as flexible as anything.

The beat is the standard run of the mill 4 to the floor, and the chord progression is rather generic. The filter outro was weak - too abrupt.

DJ-Babokon responds:

Okay, I'll take that into consideration.

yeaaeyeaya

Well gat damn son.. You just made a really awesome, really gritty, really heavy tune.
It's like someone trying to escape from some run-down insane asylum, but they can't find their way out :*(. I love the spooky piano along with those laser-chain-saw sounding squeals. Also those bpm increases / drops were sexy... reminds me of Spor + Ewun + Evol Intent's track Levitate (the bpm changes)..

man that's a lot of people to work on one song.

Quarl responds:

Hey thanks awake. That means a lot to me. Those are some of my favorite dnb artists :)

edit: for some reason it's normal in the dnb community for like six different people to be credited for one song...

oh yes

I love your jazzy housey melodies. Very clean sound, very relaxed atmosphere. Sounds like it'd fit in a game, alright.

Tutorial music, yup.

thx xkore

u saved the top 5 from being another sack of doodoo.

oh, the #1 was good too.
