HIt me up when ya wanna do that collab!

Well.. Sounds just too similar.. oh, and Dreamscaper did not make the original. The original is by Space Planet and the actual song title is Orbital Trance

ListenToMyMusic responds:

Uh Space Planet is Dreamscaper, you may want to check this out http://dreamscaper.newgrounds.com/news/post/93022

And thanks, my main goal was an almost perfect emulation.

Way better than anything I can do. Amazingly innovative, lovely feelings.

Ya too good mayn, ya too good.

Well that's just fuckin tasty, when the drums kick in with that melody @ 2:31, it's awesome.. Should make an extended mix with that part lasting longer

yao ming

nice percussion i can tell u went to africa to sample them

maybe sidechain the pad and add some funky piano lines in the 2nd half of the song but so far its pretty good dude!!!!!!!

Hiya

It's kind of a bare-bones track. Nothing inherently wrong, but there are a few things that kinda make it blend in with the crowd too much, so to speak. The nexus presets are pretty dull and uninteresting, as they are floating around in about 75% of material of newgrounds. In nexus, you can turn off individual Osc channels on the presets, so try that sometime and it'll make the presets sound fresh. The dancey snare isn't working too well. Not enough punch, and it blends in too much with the other freqs in the track. Play around with a compressor on your snares, helps a lot, particularly in DNB / breaks. A little bit of reese modulation would be great. Lastly, some sort of percussion fills wouldn't hurt either, instead of just playing the same 3 or 4 beat patterns over throughout the song. Hope this helps.

all the best

Awesome. I think a droning sub-bass throughout would perfect it.

Great first try!

Niceeee

A hardcore remix of the stage select screen? Brilliant idea :). Firstly, I want to say that the build up to 1:29 is excellent, but the main part afterward is a bit of a letdown. The lead is not quite as powerful as it was in the buildup, perhaps add a dance snare at this part, I think it would add a lot of power. The intro was really creative. Maybe try and fix the levels on the kick, sounds like it's ducking everything else out a bit. Great stuff overall.. it shows a lot of promise! Keep it up, and I hope to hear great things about ya someday :)
