[TC] The Next Chapter

"yes again"

date: 1 hour ago

You really have an awesome handle of melodies, man. This is fantastic. I think you should take out that nexus soundin' lead though.. sounds really out of place, and really generic. When I hear it, the first thing I think of is 'newgrounds music', because kids use that same preset all over here. Otherwise, good job man, this is fantastic.

not bad, kinda simple though. i like the vox sample. maybe you could do some extra layering on the drums to make em sound fuller, add a sub bass, and rip that reese a little more and then you'd have a solid track on your hands. you're going in the right direction :) keep it up

Oh my god. This sounds like the build up to one of the most energetic and uplifting trance tunes I've ever heard... and believe me when I say energetic and uplifting. I listen to music so much that it's sad for me to say that I rarely get pumped or feel any emotion listening to music now.. But this was a breath of fresh air, and I mean that to the highest degree. Thank you sir. Keep it up, or I will find you irl and choke you to death.

Oh man those choir chugs near the end are awesome. AH... AH.. aaaHHAH. AH... AH. AH. AH. AH AH AH AH *epic reverb kick*

Perfect. The mastering is excellent, and the quality remains throughout the entire 10 minutes. It's the perfect length for a chill out song like this. Percussion is fitting, and the mood is deep and inspiring.

sounds like it's gonna be a bangin ass tune. i like the transition from the gritty reese into that monster of a sub bass. also that guy that gave you a 6 also gave one of dj-nate's songs from several years ago a 10. someone people shouldn't be critics :\

The hi hat is just a *tad* too piercing. Lower the highs on it with a parametric EQ, and the bass around 1:00 is also just a tad too loud and is ducking out other sounds like the piano. Great melody you got, just work on your mastering and then you got a solid trance track.

Yes! Haha finally someone with some mastering techniques :)
Thanks for the review!

Dig the intro. Drums came in very smoothly.. oh I love this chord progression alot. Hmm. This is missing vocals.. yeah that's what it's needs.. someone needs to spit some lines over this. That would be sick if you could get someone to do that. Here's my suggestions:

-It ended rather abruptly.
-Guitar introduction could use some work. I see what you were going for though. Would be sweet if you could get a real guitar on this.
-Mastering could use some work. The kick is kind of ducking out the other sounds.

Nice job man, just fix those kinks. Very cool ambient / hip hop thing you got here. Pretty impressive for trying something new! Keep at it bro

Author's Response:

-My thoughts exactly on spitting rhymes on this. I'm going to get two rappers for this project :)
-Same for the guitar. I have my friend Garrett ready to do that.
-I guess I got too excited with the kick, lol.

-Thanks! I'll keep working on it :)

"oh my"

That fill around 00:22 was SICK. And don't get me started on these bangin ass sub bass drops, holy shit. By the way dude, you owe me a new computer desk because at 0:23 or so, that sub bass drop combusted my shit into a billion shards of plywood shrapnel death. Heavy enough to fucking rock the shit out of these double-hung windows in my room. Once I turn it up loud enough, I'm sure all the car alarms in a 30 mile proximity would short-fuse. You know how there's still active land mines in Vietnam? Well, I suggest we daisy-chain like 500 TRW 17's, blast this at max volume, and through the power of sound, rock the ever living mother of bartholomew, nephew of Judas and Kriss Angel almighty back into the past and right back into their respective assholes (all the while causing ear trauma to anyone in Vietnam and neighboring states).

Oh yes this wobble wobble. I dig, I dig. This is a great piece of dubstep my friend. What do you think would happen if they somehow converted this song into a liquid? Lord give me the strength to climb a wall of dicks because that shit would be killer. Wait, that didn't make any sense.

Regardless, this song is really good and I'm sending you my hospital bill because you just rocked my face off.
